COVER: http://www.flickr.com/photos/downtowndan/2280475932/?addedcomment=1#comment72157603950981186

Great cover stroy by Peter Kuitenbrouwer that gives a good overview of the situation. It also has a subtle message for all those developers out there, "Buyer Beware".

Friday, February 15, 2008 - Toronto Star

"Sky Falling at once-proud University of Toronto"

Sunday, February 10, 2008 - Toronto Star

"Observatory Protest goes Sky High"

LINK: http://www.thestar.com/article/302158

Good article, but I am sick of seeing the regurgitation of U of T's misleading statements about the usefulness of the observatory. The reason U of T is selling the property can be summmed up in one word - "Money".

Wednesday, January 30, 2008 - Toronto Star

"Fight to save the Dunlap coming down to the wire"

LINK:http://www.thestar.com/article/298648

A good article, glad to see that the light pollution myth was countered in this article. Also, I am glad to see that attention was draw to Dalton McGuinty and Kathleen Wynne's comments.

Sunday, January 27, 2008 - Toronto Star

"What is the big deal about old observatory?"

LINK: http://www.thestar.com/article/297786

Not a bad article which has some good reasons why the observatory should be saved - but it does contain another reference to the "light-pollution" myth. With the upgrades to the telescope that have been made over the years and the ground-breaking light pollution by-law that exists in Richmond Hill, light-pollution is actually not a big factor when it comes to the work the telescope does. The fact is, the telescope sees better now than when it did in 1935 when the DDO was surrounded by farmland.

"Donor Dilemma"

LINK: http://www.nationalpost.com/todays_paper/story.html?id=220172

Another article by Peter Kuitenbrouwer which includes a interviews with the Dunlap Heirs on both sides of their internal dispute. The comments made by Mr.Dunlap speak to his profound ignorance of the DDO and the issue in general. I would recommend some letters to the editor on this one.
